🧡A Special THANKSGIVING EDITION🧡

Hello Gardening Friends,

I have a special Thanksgiving Edition for you.

Thanksgiving is a time when I give additional special thanks to God, my Heavenly Father, for the many blessings he has given. I never want Thanksgiving to be just a day of feasting, family, fun. I desire to always remember that it is because of the Lord in, and over, my life that I can enjoy feasting, family and fun. He is the giver of all things.

I pray your Thanksgiving Day includes a few moments to thank the Lord for your life, your family, and your provision. No matter your circumstances … HE is a GOOD GOD!

My Thanksgiving message to YOU!

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
One of the greatest gifts we have as humans is the ability to choose. One of the things we can choose is whether to follow Christ or not; to spend eternity in the presence of God, or not. If we choose to make the Lord our Shepherd, then he promises to walk through this life with us.

He makes me lie down in green pastures; he restores my soul.
You will have trials and troubles in this life but you will also have a wonderful, kind, loving and forgiving Lord to walk through the good and bad times with you. You will never be alone.

All who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
To choose the Lord offers you the opportunity to live eternally with God. This promise requires nothing except to believe who Jesus said he is, the Savior. Believe that he was born into this world both as humanity and divinity, and offered his life for ME and YOU, so that we can spend eternity with him. God’s nature is to love YOU!

No one has gone beyond the reach of a loving God.
I hear this all the time,… “I could never be with God because I’ve done this, that or the other, I'm too bad, blah blah.” Listen friend, there is NOTHING you have done that Christ has not already died for on the Cross. He knew and knows all that you have done and will do in the future. You can make a turn though, change any ways that are against God’s commands (also called sin) and ask him to come into your life to transform you.

Know that the LORD is God.
It is God who created us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. One of the many benefits of being on the Lord’s side is that you become HIS. He is your provider, your protector and works all the circumstances of your life, whether they are good or bad, for your good.

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
What things shall be added to me, you might ask? ... Salvation, a new attitude toward worldly pursuits and anxieties, investment in eternal values, and a desire to please God will be given to you. Simply, make God first in your life and he makes all else worthwhile.

To all of my subscribers I want to THANK YOU for sticking with me! We are a few now but I foresee great things ahead where we can grow and learn more and more about the wonderful world of gardening.

Second, you know I like to leave you with a word, or song, or a little something to hopefully make your heart smile.

If you are old enough, you probably remember the TV show Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. I was not, and still not much of a TV watcher but I didn't miss an episode of that show.

There was one episode where Johnny Cash sang a Thanksgiving Song. He was likely singing to his wife on the show but there are lines in the song that can apply to us all. Enjoy!
